CancerConnection This program matches you with a trained volunteer who has had a similar cancer experience and can truly understand what you're going through. It may be that you are looking for someone who had a treatment you are considering, or someone who had the side effects you are experiencing, or maybe you are looking for less cancer-specific criteria like someone who had young children at the time of their diagnosis. Camp Goodtimes Camp Goodtimes is an internationally acclaimed and accredited summer recreation program that provides a unique summer experience for children and teens with cancer and their families. Set in the scenic landscape of Loon Lake at Maple Ridge, Camp Goodtimes provides a safety-minded, medically-supervised, fun and entertaining week of activities at no cost. Learn more
Accommodation If you are traveling away from your loved ones for outpatient cancer care, consider staying at a Canadian Cancer Society accommodation lodge in the Interior, on the Island, in Vancouver or coming soon in Northern BC. Learn more
Financial Support The Canadian Cancer Society provides limited, short-term assistance towards cancer-related transportation and accommodation expenses. Also through our partnership with the BC Cancer Agency, we are able to offer access to symptom management drugs. Learn more
Transportation Volunteer drivers are here for you. If you are being treated for cancer and you do not have access to transportation, a volunteer driver can pick you up and take you to your treatment-related appointments. Whether you’re flying in to visit at cancer treatment centre, or you have an appointment with your doctor, our friendly volunteers can ensure you get there on time. Learn more
